In September, Professor Anne Harley co-presented on the art songs of Los Angeles African American composer Harold Bruce Forsythe (1908-76) at the national conference of the College Music Society.
In October, at Manhattan School of Music, she performed in the New York premiere of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»alumna Marjorie Merryman’s The Miracles of Thecla, one of several NEA commissions she led in the last 5 years.
In another October concert at Columbia University, she gave the world premiere of A message from the mangroves by Yii Kah Hoe, along with other new music commissioned for the project that she directs, Voices of the Pearl ().
